🛠️ Loot Adjustment — FOG Equipment Spawn Fix

DayZ November 29, 2025

FOG-related items were previously set with nominal and min values of 0, which prevented them from spawning entirely, even when correctly configured with usage or tier settings.

  • Corrected nominal and min values (previously set to 0)
  • FOG items are now recognized by the loot economy and actively spawn
  • Spawn distribution focused on Military and High-Tier locations
  • Ensures items enter the economy instead of being blocked completely

Status:
This update is currently in testing and will be monitored and adjusted further for balance, rarity, and progression based on gameplay performance and feedback.

Impacted Items:
All FOG items

Further refinements will follow as we test spawn behavior across different zones and tiers.

Update Changelog & FOG Gear Integration

DayZ November 17, 2025

FOG Gear Added to Loot Economy

The full FOG tactical gear suite has been integrated into the server. This includes belts, vests, placards, holsters, pouches, helmets, eyewear, and specialty gear. All items are now properly registered and available within the intended loot tiers.

  • Integrated over 90 new FOG spawnable gear sets
  • Added complete attachment presets for belts and vests
  • IFAKs, admin pouches, grenade pouches, belly rigs, and radios now spawn properly on FOG carriers
  • All FOG clothing and armor pieces are recognized by the economy system

types.xml Verification

The main types.xml was cross-checked against all FOG items.

  • No duplicates were found or added
  • All FOG items already had valid entries and correct flags
  • Ensures proper despawn timers, restock behavior, and loot categorization

spawnabletypes.xml Overhaul

The server’s spawnable types file received a significant expansion to support the new FOG loadouts.

  • Added 92 new spawnable FOG entries
  • Integrated realistic preset loadouts for belts and vests
  • Loadouts now include holsters, dump pouches, admin pouches, mag carriers, chem-lights, phones, radios, and patches
  • Balanced to fit seamlessly into CTRL/Fire’s existing military loot structure

Configuration Improvements

  • Validated all classname references for stability
  • Cleaned invalid or blank type definitions from FOG files
  • Ensured compatibility with vanilla, SNAFU, and custom loot tiers

Summary

This update completes the full integration of FOG tactical equipment into the CTRL/Fire DayZ server. Players will encounter a more diverse and engaging selection of modern gear across military zones while maintaining balanced progression and loot fairness.
